Bhagavata Prayag (Concept & Details)

Swastyastu Vishwasya

How does Prayag function?
Vishwa Bhagavata Prayag was designed by acharyas for all Bhagavata Bhakthas to immerse in a week of Srimad Bhagavatam to their best extent and staying connected.  Each Individual or Satsang does parayanam (Chanting) OR  sravanam (Just Listen)  of Srimad Bhagavatam during this to their best extent. The times of parayanam are decided as per the convenience of each satsang/Sapthaham. The one in India can happen in Indian Standard Time and the ones in United States or other places happens in their day time. We use electronic media to share and connect these satsangs, via audio, pictures and comments. If you are just a listener, You can listen to Bhagavata parayanam by visiting the www.prayag.org on each day of Prayag.

When time of the year does Prayag happen?
Here’s the easiest way to remember Prayag dates. Vishwa Bhagavata Prayag ends on the last Saturday of November. The last Wednesday evening of November is Sri Krishnaavataram. The last Thursday of November is Rukmini Swayamvaram.

What is the benefit of this?
To connect the vibrational energy of Bhagavatam Parayanam (chanting of Lord’s Vagmeya roopam) together across the world and connect as many human minds to it is what we see as the benefit.

How to participate ?
Only trained chanters can finish 18,000 slokas in 7 days. In this busy world not all can dedicate so much time continuously for 7 days. Devotees can participate in different ways, the very minimal one being, a single listener, listening to chanting from home. Other ways include as a group (satsang).
